LiceBase uses browser cookies for most functions. If you disable cookies you will not be able to log in.

LiceBase is compatible with most Browsers on Linux, Windows, MacOS, and iOS (iphone, ipad). Regularly tested  to work with the follwing browsers:

• Firefox 30-32
• Google Chrome
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and 9
• Safari
• We recommend Google Chrome on iOS 

Other Browsers might work as well but there is no warranty (we give no warranty anyway;). We strongly advise against the use of older versions of Internet Explorer (6,7) due to security concerns.

The following browser settings are required:

• Cookies must be turned on to log in
• JavaScript is required for many functions of the site, especially the genome browser
• Pop-up blockers might interfere with the site, if you experience problems you should turn them off
• Other browser plug-ins should not interfere, e.g. Add-block pro, HTTPS Everywhere

Known issues

• layout is not well optimized for mobile devices (yet)
• Safari on iOS 7:  Blast interface doesn't work, you can use Chrome on iOS
